Why is posture so important? Sitting and standing with proper alignment improves blood flow, helps keep our nerves and blood vessels healthy, and supports our muscles, ligaments, and tendons. When we make a habit of using correct posture we are less likely to experience related back and neck pain. Yoga is one of the best ways to improve posture and retrain our muscles to support us as we sit and stand.

This mini workshop will focus on ways to help gently improve your posture through:
  • Toning weak muscles
  • Stretching tight muscles
  • Practicing proper alignment techniques
  • Developing body awareness
Good posture helps us to develop strength, flexibility, and balance in our bodies as well as give us confidence. This can lead to less muscle pain and more energy throughout the day. Proper posture can also reduce risk of injury.
